Local Community Involvement

We make it a priority to be actively involved in the community through volunteer service, donations of resources and services, and charitable contributions. The focus of our community involvement effort is on aquatic resource preservation, conservation, and awareness. Aquascape Environmental team members are encouraged to participate in volunteer service independently and as part of company-wide events. Past events and organizations we have sponsored and/or served include:

  • Rivers Alive: 2006 Sponsor & Little River Clean Up Event Volunteer
  • Great Lake Allatoona Clean-up: 2004-2007 Event Volunteer and Sponsor
  • Georgia Adopt-a-Stream
  • Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper
  • Georgia Lakes Society
  • The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta
  • Devereux Child & Adolescent Treatment Center

Helping the Global Community, Too . . .

Hundreds of soccer balls, footballs, basketballs, and other sports equipment items that had been recovered from local lakes and ponds by Aquascape Environmental have been donated to The Global Gear Drive, a program that distributes sports equipment to underprivileged children around the world.

Each year, in the course of maintaining our clients' lakes and ponds, we retrieve dozens of balls and other sports equipment. Items that are in good condition are saved and stored for annual donation to youth programs rather than being discarded and taking up space in our landfills. This year, The Global Gear Drive, which is operated by the National Alliance for Youth Sports, was the selected recipient.

The Global Gear Drive program was created to put sports equipment in the hands of children around the world who wish to take part in quality sports activities but currently are unable to due to shortages of equipment. Donated equipment is distributed to countries in Africa, the Middle East, and the Caribbean.
